Kath’s cash prize will help patients

St Ann’s Hospice pharmacist Kath Mitchell at Little Hulton has donated a £343 cash prize she won to buy a set of scales that can weigh patients while seated. She won the prize after entering a survey on the palliativedrugs.com website.

“The win came as a complete surprise,” said Kath, “but the money will be just right to buy scales for patients who have difficulty standing. This is important as often the amount of medicine given to a patient is relative to their weight.”
