Just Giving
Justgiving is ideal for getting people to sponsor you online. It’s easy, quick and tax-friendly. Charities can raise much more for sponsored events online. Events such as our Manchester Midnight Walk and Lock Up Your Boss have increased their total donations from using Justgiving. Just look at www.justgiving.com/stannshospice to see how easy it is!
Raising sponsorship is so much easier this way
It takes just a few minutes to make your own fundraising page on Justgiving. Then you send your page to everyone you know and they donate online with a credit/debit card. Justgiving reclaim Gift Aid automatically, so you raise more for St Ann’s Hospice.
Here are the steps you’ll be taking when you make a fundraising page…

Pick an event ? How are you raising money? For example, are you running a race, walking in our Manchester Midnight Walk, or doing a head shave?!

Choose your charity, for example St Ann’s Hospice, to benefit from the donations

Choose a web address name (url) - The url is where your friends will type in your fundraising website address. Justgiving will explain it all and help you along the way – it’s not complicated! For example, St Ann’s Hospice have a basic site set up for ongoing donations at all times at www.justgiving.com/stannshospice and we also set up pages for specific fundraising events as and when they are being prmoted

Personalise – You can write your own message to eplain why you are fundraising and encourage people to sponsor you.
